Man… It’s going to be a LONG few months before we all get to enjoy some more football together. Therefore, we will have to live off the draft and the upcoming 2024 schedule release. However, until preseason lifts us up from the abyss of the offseason; why not enjoy a tad bit more Super Bowl 58 content? Such as Laker legend and businessman, Magic Johnson’s Mount Rushmore Super Bowl Bash. A stylish party that had everyone from other fellow athletes to actors, sports broadcasters, singers and more in attendance.
Johnson, wanting to celebrate the huge sports weekend; held his soirée at the Foutainbleau Hotel which lies in the very heart of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s a location that has been getting quite the workout since its grand opening back in December of 2023. Literally, every celebrity you can think of is walking through its doors.
For instance, just hours before Magic’s own bash, former NFL quarterback and the undisputed GOAT, Tom Brady had been unveiling a new exhibit for an upscale museum inside the Fontainbleau Resort. However, getting back to Magic, you may be wondering why he chose “Mount Rushmore” as a theme. Well, the literal Mount Rushmore in South Dakota; features some famous faces of note. Therefore, Johnson is just playing off of that aspect, by throwing an event with a guest list of notable, accomplished individuals.
On the red carpet, for his event Magic told the media that the Super Bowl had two very deserving teams playing in it; and that he hopes one day his Commanders will also make it to the Super Bowl to vy for a championship. He also was willing to give his pick of who he thought the winner would be. Johnson picks the Kansas City Chiefs to walk away as champs.
Well, the 5x NBA champion and 12x NBA All Star ended up being right. The Chiefs won in overtime 22-25. And Magic showed why he would definitely do just fine playing the tables and hitting up Sportsbook bars in Vegas.
