Las Vegas Raiders Rework Maxx Crosby Contract Giving Him $6 Million Raise

If you want to name a player that truly is the epitome of a Raider; you have to think Maxx Crosby. A man who lives, breathes and oozes silver and black. At just 26 years old, Crosby has been one of the most dominant forces in the league. In 2023, he posted 14.5 sacks, 90 total tackles, 23 TFL, and 31 QB hits. For his efforts, the Las Vegas Raiders have reworked the Maxx Crosby contract giving him a $6 million raise.

Money well earned. Maxx is definitely a force in the Raiders locker room and on the sidelines during games. He is a leader that makes other players work harder by seeing him leave it all on the field every single game. He is one of those tough, gritty guys who would continue the play even if he’s lost his helmet.

Crosby straight up pummels himself and that’s exactly the hardcore attitude that new head coach Antonio Pierce wants to bring back to the iconic Raiders. So then, keeping Crosby motivated is definitely high on the list. And nothing says “we appreciate you” like a nice company-to-employee raise.

However, does this reworking of the contract money wise change other elements and aspects; like the number of years of control? No. Nonetheless, ESPN’s Adam Schefter had additional intel and details to share in regards to Maxx’s contract changes. He reveals,

“Raiders reworked the contract of three-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to give him a $6 million raise for the upcoming season, per league sources. The team also moved an additional $1.2 million into 2025. The Raiders wanted to reward their leader, culture setter, and one of the best players in the league with the intent of keeping him in Las Vegas for years to come. No new years were added to Crosby’s deal, meaning the 26-year-old still has three years left on his current contract.”

Always great to see players get paid and Crosby earned it. Maxx Crosby played college football for the Eastern Michigan Eagles. And was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft. Last season, Crosby made his third straight Pro Bowl team in his fifth NFL season. At the time of the 2024 Pro Bowl, among defensive linemen; Crosby ranked second in tackles (88), third in sacks (13.5) and was tied for first in tackles for loss (21).
