Las Vegas Raiders Announce Baltimore Ravens Have Backed Out of Maxx Crosby Trade
This NFL development has had more twists and turns than a Hitchcock movie. Just days ago a trade was in place and looking good to go. But now that is no longer the case. The Las Vegas Raiders have announced that the Baltimore Ravens have backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade. A jaw-dropping bombshell ahead of the new league year becoming official tomorrow.
Just days ago, on March 6, ESPN’s Adam Schefter had reported the Crosby trade stating, “The Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas.”
Maxx Crosby was also obviously feeling things were a done deal. And that he would now be a Raven. Crosby who “bleeds silver and black “ had even released a 13-minute video on Saturday saying goodbye to the Raiders plus Raiders nation and hello to Ravens fans.
The Las Vegas Raiders made a very brief statement in regards to the Maxx Crosby trade now being off the table. Via social media the franchise revealed, “The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Of course, this news had led to many questions. Such as, what could have caused this trade to be rescinded? The answer seems to be a simple one. The Ravens failed Maxx Crosby on his physcial. They weren’t comfortable with what they saw.
As you may recall, around the Super Bowl it was revealed that Maxx Crosby would be undergoing a meniscus repair. Apparently, Baltimore gave this situation a little more consideration and now have made a different call. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirms, “Trades are contingent upon a physical. The Maxx Crosby trade to the Ravens is off because of medical reasons. From our breaking news coverage: The Ravens made a decision on Maxx Crosby’s medical that they are not ready to assume the risk of Crosby’s knee — nullifying the trade.” Looks like Baltimore got cold feet before the big day.
