Las Vegas Aces Are Getting Big Attendance Numbers

Last night the Aces took down the Indiana Fever extending their current winning streak to five in a row. But prior to that an announcement was made indicating the Las Vegas Aces are getting big attendance numbers. According to the team website:

‘They have sold out the entirety of their ticket inventory for the team’s 2024 regular season home schedule, which includes 18 games at Michelob ULTRA Arena, and 2 games—July 2 vs. Indiana, and September 3 vs. Chicago—at T-Mobile Arena. They are the first team in the history of the WNBA to sell out their entire regular season slate of home contests.’

As mentioned above they took care of business beating Indiana yesterday and that game had a record attendance. The Aces welcomed 20,366 fans to T-Mobile Arena, which is the fifth-most attended game in WNBA regular season history and the most since 1999. And it’s no wonder so many fans are showing up for the games as the Aces are playing very well. Against the Fever, Kelsey Plum scored a game-high 34 points to lead the Aces in scoring. While A’ja Wilson added 28 points and 9 rebounds. Jackie Young had a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists. And Kiah Stokes grabbed a team-best 12 boards.

The Fever did a good job mounting a furious comeback. But in the fourth the Aces opened on a 14-0 run. They finished the game with a score of 69-88.

And can we just give a shoutout to Kelsey Plum? In addition to being the leading scorer with 34 points, she also outscored the whole Fever team in the 4th quarter. Together with A’ja Wilson, they combined for 62 points in the win over the Fever. With last night’s tally, Plum now has 3,002 career points. Also, A’ja Wilson was named Western Conference Player of the Month for May 2024. These two women are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Las Vegas remains at home for a Thursday, July 4, rematch against the Washington Mystics (5-15) on June 29. The game tips at 7 pm PT, and will be telecast nationally on Amazon Prime and locally on the Silver Stats Sports & Entertainment Network.
