Put some respect on this man’s name. He may be 37, but his play on the court is demonstrating that age is truly just a number. Like Harden, like LeBron; this veteran is flexing his longevity and skill. In an entertaining game versus Indiana, the Kings Russell Westbrook recorded his 207th career triple-double.

Yes, Russell just keeps making NBA history this season. He keeps adding to his legacy in Year 18. In case you forgot, in November 2025 Westbrook became the eighth player in NBA history to reach 10K career assists. Russell recorded his 10,000th career assist on November 14, 2025, during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Additionally, he is the second player, after LeBron James, to achieve both 10,000 assists and 25,000 career points. Other players on the list to achieve 10K assists are John Stockton, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, LeBron James, Steve Nash, Mark Jackson, and Magic Johnson.

Nevertheless, just a month later and Russell is once again etching himself into the NBA historical documents. As the Sacramento franchise heralded after their game against the Pacers, “Russell Westbrook has his 207th career triple-double tonight at IND. This also marks Westbrook’s fourth triple-double of the season.” According to Statmuse, only Jokic and Giddey have more triple-doubles this season. And during the matchup with the Pacers Monday night, it only took 3 quarters for Russ to get triple-double #207.

Here’s another fun fact we found intriguing (and we think you will too). Starters averaging 15/7/7 and 2 threes this season:

— Russell Westbrook
— Nikola Jokic
— Luka Doncic

Should we start the “get this man to a contender right this instant” campaign? People may forget how good Westbrook is still. However, the numbers do not. There is a reason why he is the all-time leader in triple-doubles. And even in his 18th season he has secured a starting spot in the Kings rotation, while continuing to stand out as a high-level scorer.

Nevertheless, despite Russell Westbrook’s impressive efforts, it wasn’t enough as the Kings lost 116-105 to the Pacers. Sacramento now falls to a 6-18 record on the season, holding the 13th spot in the Western Conference standings. Will Russell remain with the Kings as the days go by? With the way Westbrook is playing there could be a move on his horizon. We have to believe there is some contending organization taking note.
