Kike Hernandez confirms his one year with the Dodgers via social media. And he does it with playful humor and enthusiasm. Anyone who has been on X (formerly Twitter) any length of time is familiar with the sports sector’s BREAKING, and SOURCES posts.
Well, Hernandez decides to get in on all the fun and beat some fans as well as journalists to the punch. Kike via his X account heralds,
“Sources say….. I’m back!!! 1st to break news @myself.”
Perfectly done Hernandez. Additionally, a few hours after Kike’s excited posting, the Dodgers themselves officially announce the news. They briefly mention,
“The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to terms with IF/OF Kiké Hernández on a one-year deal.”

“The Dodgers are re-signing Kiké Hernández on a one-year, $4 MM deal. This, like all the moves the Dodgers have this off-season, just feels right.”

“Super utility man Kiké Hernandez and the Los Angeles Dodgers are nearing a one-year contract, sources tell ESPN. The deal would come on the heels of Manuel Margot trade to Minnesota being finalized. The trade will include cash going from the Dodgers to Twins, according to sources.
Full trade: Minnesota Twins receive OF Manuel Margot and SS prospect Rayne Doncon; Los Angeles Dodgers receive SS prospect Noah Miller. The deal paves the way for Kiké Hernandez’s return to L.A. Among those who had different pieces of the deal: Daniel Alvarez and Jon Heyman.”
