Kansas City Chiefs Retaining Players Including Nick Bolton
It’s been a somewhat quiet offseason thus far for the Kansas City Chiefs. Their loss in Super Bowl LIX hasn’t prompted any wild spending sprees on or releasing of players. Rather they have made efforts to keep some of their core players. Yesterday the Kansas City Chiefs were reported to be retaining players including linebacker Nick Bolton. Multiple outlets posted the details about Bolton staying in Kansas City.
Our favorite insider, Adam Schefter posted the details of Bolton’s contract:

In addition to Bolton the Chiefs have also retained G Trey Smith on the franchise tag. And the Chiefs re-signing WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to one-year deal worth up to $11M. He signed a similar one-year deal this time last year but he suffered a shoulder injury in the preseason. It was a long recovery that required surgery and Brown wasn’t able to play until Week 16. Now he has a chance to prove he can be the speedy deep threat the Chiefs were hoping for.
On a side note, Bolton’s deal was announced on Sunday and today on Monday he turns 25. So he’ll have an extra reason today for celebrating.
