It takes a lot of hard work to get the opportunity to play professional basketball. And it takes even more determination and grit to be noticed out of all the other great players once you make it. However, if you “stay hungry” you’ll never be satisfied and will continue to push to be even better. Two Celtics feel that is exactly what they are doing. Boston’s own Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown ‘Two of the Hungriest Players in League’ are pushing each to higher elite levels; or so says Jayson Tatum.
In a bold, but well understood statement; especially, given that the Celtics went on a blazing 11 game win streak this season. Jayson Tatum reveals why him and his teammate work so well together and how their work ethic is among the best in the industry. According to The Players Tribune, Tatum reveals,
“It’s been great. Two guys that got drafted back to back to the same team. Every day, every game, I know where I’m trying to get to and he knows where he’s trying to get to, and we try to figure it out together. In a way, we’re pushing each other. There’s been times where he does something in a game, and I’m thinking, ‘Damn, like, I wanna try and do that.’
Everything we do, we compete in a good way — I’m pushing him, we play one-on-one after practice. I think the next step for us is feeding off each other more in a game. JB is, from where he started in his first year and what they tried to label him: he couldn’t shoot or whatever.
He then shot 38-40% from the three and made his first All-Star game. I couldn’t have been happier for him…. Going into this season, we try and take the same approach: I’m getting better and he’s getting better. It’s not like we’re staying the same. We’re two of the hungriest players in the league.”

Both of these ballers have great attitudes. And they are putting in time, extra time; to in order to keep the success going. Although, it has not produced a Celtics championship just yet.
However, Jayson and Jaylen have helped their franchise reach the Finals, back in 2022. Which shows they are in fact knocking on that door. All they have to do is keep going. Plus, by the look of things, and how well the team as a whole has been playing together; would not be surprising to see them make another deep playoffs run.
