Jason and Travis Kelce New Heights Live Podcast; Receive Diplomas!

Two great guys, doing their best to give back to the next upcoming generation of student athletes. To help their old school, the University of Cincinnati raise funds; the Jason and Travis Kelce New Heights Live Podcast event rolled into town. With pyrotechnics, surprise guests, competitions and a finale commencement ceremony.

For their podcasts first live recorded show; it was a major success. The arena was packed. Not a seat to be found, even despite initial weather concerns. Nevertheless, such support for the football brothers is not surprising in the least.

Their podcast is one of the biggest online. Doing impressive numbers. For instance, during the 2023/24 season 28 episodes earned over 54 million views, up 2x from the 27 episodes posted during same time frame the previous season.

Additionally, according to Cincinnati.com the New Heights social network footprint has rapidly increased. They report,

“New Heights” is one of the top podcasts on Spotify. It has also garnered a significant following on social media, boasting 4.2 million followers on TikTok, 2.5 million on Instagram, 2.37 million subscribers on YouTube and about 423,500 followers on X.

‘New Heights’ also won the Podcast of the Year Award at the iHeart Radio Podcast Awards on March 11.”

Nice. Nevertheless, what went down during the live show recording? Well, the Kelces held the first-ever “Lombaby” Games. Which is a series of Olympic-style challenges in which 10 Bearcat athletes take on 10 fellow students, with the Kelces serving as commentators/referees. (The name is a nod to the Vince Lombardi Trophy, which is awarded to the winning Super Bowl team). Just FYI.

The brothers also got to enjoy the company of two Cincinnati Bengals. Quarterback Joe Burrow and offensive tackle, Orlando Brown Jr. The interview portion of the show was definitely a crowd favorite.

Moreover, as mentioned this event helped UC in their fundraising efforts. Charging $100 per seat. But, for a very good cause; for recruiting and increasing NIL objectives. NIL Wire reports,

“The University of Cincinnati is raising NIL funds with the help of their two most famous alumni brothers, Jason and Travis Kelce. The duo’s wildly popular “New Heights” podcast will be coming to Cincinnati in an effort to bolster the raise money for Cincy Reigns, the school’s official collective partner.”

Mission accomplished. Along with one other piece of business. The university surprised Jason Kelce and Travis with a commencement ceremony. Both brothers did earn degrees from the University of Cincinnati; however, they were unable to participate in the graduation ceremonies back when they were in college. Therefore, for coming back and helping their school; the university decided to still make the big moment happen.

Great move University of Cincinnati. And great event guys. It’s nice to see players giving their best on and off the field; and even in retirement.
