Jalen Reeves-Maybin Has Been Re-Elected as the NFLPA President

It is important to have someone you fully trust to continue fighting for your best interests. For this reason and more, the NFLPA has decided to continue with their current guy. This week, Jalen Reeves-Maybin has been re-elected as the NFLPA President.

The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) is the union for professional football players in the NFL and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Established in 1956, the NFLPA has a long history of protecting the health, safety and financial future of its more than 2,000 player members.

In regards to continuing to carry out his duties and mission as President, Reeves-Maybin states, “I’m honored that the Board has trusted me to continue serving as president. There’s important work ahead, and I’m looking forward to continue advocating on behalf of our membership to protect our rights and advance our interests.”

Jalen Reeves-Maybin Has Been Re-Elected as the NFLPA President

The official online website for the National Football League Players Association also released a statement about Jalen Reeves-Maybin, along with other news of new additions to the Executive Committee. The NFLPA mentions,

“The NFL Players Association’s Board of Player Representatives re-elected Jalen Reeves-Maybin as president of its union on Sunday. The nine-year linebacker will begin his second two-year term immediately.

Additionally, four new players were elected by the Board to serve on the Executive Committee:

Tanoh Kpassagnon (Treasurer), a nine-year defensive end who played last season with the Chicago Bears and previously served as an alternate player representative.

Jonathan Greenard, a six-year outside linebacker who previously served as an alternate player representative for the Minnesota Vikings.

Harrison Phillips, an eight-year defensive lineman who previously served as an alternate player representative for the New York Jets

Zaire Franklin, an eight-year linebacker for the Green Bay Packers who previously served as a player representative.

They will join returning Executive Committee members Oren Burks, Cam Heyward, Ted Karras, Case Keenum, Brandon McManus and Thomas Morstead, who were all re-elected on Sunday.”

The current CBA will govern the sport through the 2030 season. Therefore, there are other more pressing issues to get to work on at this point in time. However, regardless of the issue at hand, Jalen and the assembled committee will work hard for the interests of all players.
