According to Baseball America, Leodalis ranks number two overall from the entire 2024 International MLB Prospect Class. Therefore, he’s pretty darn good.

“Leodalis De Vries is my favorite international prospect for this year. When I went to the Dominican Republic, I saw him play the first day of a tournament, then we spoke after the game and he told me he was going to hit a home run tomorrow.
Well, the next day, second at-bat: Home run into the right field trees. He rounds third base, points at me and goes, I told you I was gonna hit it out. Super impressive all-around hitter with power and feel for the game beyond his years.”
