Hard Knocks: In Season Will Feature the Entire AFC North Division

There’s a major switch-up going on, and it is glorious. In television every show has to go through a slight evolution in order to keep things fresh and exciting for audiences. The makers of the hit NFL driven show Hard Knocks understands this assignment more than anyone. Therefore, they are giving the people something a little bit new. Hard Knocks: In Season will feature the entire AFC North Division.

Nice. In case you can’t remember right off the top of your head which teams are in the AFC North. They are the: Ravens, Bengals, Browns and Steelers.

So then, this should make for A LOT of great storylines. With the Steelers getting Russell Wilson after all the Denver Broncos drama. Bengals working to get back on track with a healthy Joe Burrow (who’s been riddled with injuries over his tenure including his knee and wrist). The Browns have most of their core intact and re-signed players like: Za’Darius Smith, Shelby Harris and Corey Bojorquez. So we’ll see if they can make the playoffs again.

And there’s Baltimore with Lamar Jackson who won his second MVP. He’s only the 11th player in league history to be named MVP multiple times. But can he finally win a Super Bowl championship? Tune in later this year to see how all the above plays out.

Furthermore, a format change is definitely warranted. The Hard Knocks show premiered back in 2001; chronicling the behind the scenes journey of the defending Super Bowl champs, the Baltimore Ravens. For over two decades now the format has remained largely the same. No real deviation. Just mainly following around a NFL team before, as well as during the season and documenting all the ups and downs.

While it is nice for fans to kind of get “VIP access” into the happenings of their favorite team. See what it is really like to be a professional athlete or NFL executive. After seeing such moments occur over 20 times; for some viewers it could feel rather monotonous.

So then, what’s going to be different? ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports:

“For the first time, “Hard Knocks: In Season” will feature a division: the AFC North. It will debut Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, stream on Max, and will air subsequent Tuesdays through the end of the NFL regular season and continue into the NFL playoffs in January 2025.”

So far each team named in the project has already confirmed their involvement. And officially announced to their respective fandoms that they will in fact be a part of the docu-series airing this winter. However, if the AFC North isn’t your thing, there’s still other Hard Knocks editions to get your football fix.

HBO knows the tortoise wins the sports documentary race. And has slowly expanded ‘Hard Knocks’ into three franchises that will premiere over six months:

• Hard Knocks: Offseason – New York Giants
• Also… Hard Knocks: Training Camp – Chicago Bears
• And lastly as we already now know… Hard Knocks: In Season – AFC North

So then, choose your fighter. Pick your poison. And just flat out enjoy all the NFL content coming your way later this year!
