Giants Pitcher Blake Snell Reinstated From Paternity List; Still Awaits Baby
The 2023 Cy Young winner stepped away from his team for a few days to be there to welcome a little bundle of joy into the world. However, some fans may have noticed that the Giants Blake Snell has been reinstated from the Paternity List; as of Sunday, May 26. However, Snell in all likelihood will find himself back on that very list. Why?
Well, despite being away for a few days. Snell and his beautiful fiancée is still waiting anxiously for their baby to arrive. So then, Baby Snell watch continues on, but could make a debut literally any day now.
Nonetheless, Blake so far is set and scheduled to face off against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, May 27th. A team that started this season with a bang and has stayed extremely hot. As of this posting, the Phillies have only last 16 games so far out of the 54 they have played.
So then, Blake Snell will definitely have his hands full and work cut out for him if he does indeed take the mound. But with a newborn on the way. Anything can change at a moment’s notice.

Regarding Snell’s dad situation and him staying in the Giants’ rotation; CBS Sports confirms this most recent news and update on Blake. They state,
Snell was reinstated from the paternity list Sunday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, Snell is still awaiting the birth of his baby, despite stepping away from the team for the last three days in anticipation of welcoming a new addition to his family. The left-hander was placed on the paternity list a day after he made his most recent start Wednesday against the Pirates, but he won’t end up missing a turn now that he’s back on the active roster. He’s expected to take the hill Monday against the Phillies, though he could go back on the paternity list during the upcoming week if his child ends up being born.”
Blake hasn’t had the best start to the 2024 season. Having endured joining a team late and not having a proper spring training; plus a recent injury. However, being a two-time Cy Young winner, Blake’s potential is still high. So then, hopefully he can get back on track, and soon he gets to fully enjoy becoming a father.
