For the young-ins reading this, Seinfeld was HUGE. It was a hilarious true-to-life sitcom that effortlessly went out on top; never dropping in ratings. In fact, the Seinfeld finale, titled “The Finale,” was watched by 76.3 million viewers. Which in turn made it the fourth-most-watched series finale in television history at the time of its airing on May 14, 1998.

But before this legendary show came to its conclusion; one of its characters had millions cackling over his numerous escapades with the New York Yankees. The character, George Costanza oftentimes didn’t have a job; but still eventually found himself working for the historic pinstripes organization.

Working for the Yankees would be a dream come true for many; but for George, he really wanted to work for the Mets. So in an effort to get fired he takes the Yankees World Series trophy; straps it to his car and drags it all over the place.
