The best way to describe this year’s Orange Bowl is by utilizing one simplistic word. Bloodbath. Georgia straight up annihilates their competition; and shows no mercy in a bowl game that looked like little more than a practice session for them. How bad is this loss? Well, Florida State loses to Georgia by 60 points in the Orange Bowl and this sets a new scoring record in college football history!
Therefore, in sports matchups, when it rains… it most definitely pours. Any athlete is used to losing a game here and there. However, doing it on a large stage… hurts a tad bit more. Georgia hit their stride and never took the foot off the pedal against their opponent.
While college football uses a system to make Bowl games as fair and competitive as possible. Sometimes, teams are still not a match. Games such as tonight clearly expose rankings and schools. Georgia looked marvelous and in full control; and while Florida State… not so much.

Furthermore, this Bowl also now has college football fans wondering if a robbery took place. With Georgia not being in the CFP with Alabama, Texas and others. Moreover, winning by 60 points is now the largest win margin in bowl history. So then, this performance is nothing short of a display of full on dominance and talent.
However, in Florida State’s defense. Not all of the squad is in attendance for the game. Several guys opted out before the start of the bowl. Nonetheless, in the same token, Georgia also played backups during the game; and the score still went up and up. Therefore, that should balance out any Florida opt-outs… right?
Sportscaster and writer, Aaron Leicht also shares his two cents about Georgia after the 2023 Orange Bowl massacre. Leicht states,
“FSU got screwed over, but Georgia got it worse.
Back-to-back National Champions win 29 in a row and lose by 3 in the SECCG and they drop 5 spots? They are STILL one of the 4 BEST teams.
The CFB Playoff committee got it wrong.”
