Fernando Tatis Jr Return From Suspension

Fernando Tatis Jr Return From Suspension: Spring Training is NOT an Indicator

Fernando Tatis Jr return from suspension is rapidly approaching. When news first hit last year about Tatis being out due to injury; the boat seemed shaky, but stable. However, when days before Fernando would once more don brown and gold saw news of a suspension looming; all the wind beneath Padres’ fans wings simply disappeared.

What now? How could this happen? Are we cursed? Well, because Padres…

Nevertheless, the San Diego Padres powered through the 2022 season and beyond. Making an unbelievable deep run into the postseason. Defeating the Mets as well as their NL WEST rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

These games go on to fire up the Friar fanbase AND shorten the suspension of Tatis. A win win in any San Diego sports fan’s mind and opinion. Moreover, when all is said and done; a date comes to fruition.

A day to now be set for the big home run king’s return. That day? April 20.

However, April at first seems SO far away. And after the letdown before; it is easy to feel like, what else can occur? However, as 2023 finally rolls around and spring training finally starts; every San Diego fan as well as native begins to breathe a major sigh of relief.

Tatis is in attendance. He is healing nicely. And he looks very in shape and healthy. Thank you sports GAWDS!

Fernando Tatis Jr Return From Suspension: Spring Training is NOT an Indicator

However, some always prefer to look at the negatives; instead of positives. Let’s be real… Tatis is known for hitting BOMBS. During the Padres 2023 spring training, Fernando is making field errors and going hit-less. Nonetheless, manager, Bob Melvin is not perturbed.

Melvin is making it very clear there is nothing to worry about when it comes down to Fernando, defensively or with hitting. BoMel says he (Tatis Jr.) will eventually get a hit. And I have to agree with Melvin’s strong sentiment towards this.

Fernando is coming back from a previous injury; plus surgery. He has not been playing for over a year. So yes, there’s rust.

Is it time to panic? No. This spring training is not an indication of how Fernando will perform during the upcoming 2023 season.

Moreover, our guy is too talented and naturally gifted to not find his groove. It will happen. And when it does; we’ll all be screaming our heads off; happy to see our Tatis back to being the phenom that he is in the game.
