Ethan Salas First Pro Hit

Ethan Salas First Pro Hit Debut- Welcome to the Show Kid!

The Padres have a lot to be smiling about today. After some struggles during the month of May; the team is starting to get some wins. Taking some W’s against the Yankees, Nationals and Miami Marlins. Now one of their top prospects, Ethan Salas First Pro Hit is also in the books. RING THE BELL!

Salas is San Diego’s future at the Catcher position. Young, energetic and excited to be apart of the Padres organization; Ethan looks poised to be a real superstar, not only on the SD roster, but in the Major League in general.

Moreover, it does not take a rocket scientist in order to see why this particular prospect is garnering so much interest and attention. Ethan has speed, agility, athleticism, accuracy and is a great at bat. Case in point, the dramatic outcome of his first pro hit.

What all happened? Well, Salas at the plate perfectly displayed patience, timing and a darn good eye. Everything you could want from a future all star.

The kid simply BATTLED. It was not an easy at bat. The pitcher was throwing everything he had plus the kitchen sink, in order to prevent Ethan from getting on base.

One pitch. Then two. Then Three. Fast forward 8! And Salas is still hanging in there refusing to go down. Finally, on pitch number nine he connects on a solid hit and gets a double!

That’s the type of batting the Padres owner (Peter “Papa Pete” Seidler), front office, AJ and the fans want to see. Salas is just 16, but it’s already known that the Padres plan to fast track him up to the big game. How soon?

Well, if you look at some of the ages of others over the years you can nicely paint a picture and timeframe. For instance, back in 1994 Alex Rodriguez made his MLB debut at 18 years old. Also, you may recall the Rangers had Pudge Rodriguez playing at just 19.

Or, why don’t we bring things a little closer to home. Fellow Padres, Juan Soto also had an early start. According to Wikipedia, “Soto made his major-league debut on May 20, 2018, becoming the youngest player in the major leagues at 19 years, 207 days, and the first player born in 1998 to appear in a major-league game.”

Therefore, I predict that Ethan Salas will follow suit. He will make his big debut when he is 19 and will be the talk of the San Diego town. What times await!
