Epic Battle Between Browns And Broncos On Monday Night

Epic Battle Between Browns And Broncos On Monday Night

They came into the game with a 3-8 record but played like they were 8-3. The rookie quarterback was playing like a veteran, reminiscent of Brett Favre. Both teams played like everything was on the line. Hence it was an epic battle the Cleveland Browns and the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. There were touchdowns, turnovers and big plays. For the Browns, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy made plays all over the field. For the Broncos, Jaleel McLaughlin had some very nice rushes.

The game started with a Bronco’s three and out and they punted. Cleveland got off to a good start driving the ball 61 yards but missed a 47-yard field goal attempt. McLaughlin got the Broncos next possession started with a good 12-yard run. The drive ended with Javonte Williams running the ball in for a 2-yard touchdown. Cleveland answered with a 70 yard drive capped off with an 8-yard touchdown by David Njoku. In the second quarter Bo Nix was intercepted on a pass intended for Troy Franklin resulting a 45-yard field goal for the Browns. It was looking bad for the Browns when Jameis Winston threw a pick-six after the Broncos had just scored a touchdown. But they fought back and scored a touchdown right before halftime only down 17-21.

The teams traded punts in the third quarter until Nix passed the ball to Marvin Mims who took it 93 yards for the touchdown. Again the Browns responded with Jeudy catching a pass and taking it 70 yards for the touchdown. Two punts and a Broncos 36-yard field goal finished the third quarter. Cleveland had to punt at the beginning of the fourth quarter. But Bo Nix was intercepted on a pass to Mims and Cleveland scored another touchdown.

Nix completed passes to multiple receivers but the drive stalled in the red zone and they kicked a 27-yard field goal. Disaster struck for the Browns when Winston was picked off again. Ja’Quan McMillian ran it back for a 44-yard touchdown. Prior to the interception, the Browns only needed a field goal to take the lead back. Instead they ended up with a nine point deficit. With 1:14 left they had an opportunity to try to score but on 1st & 10 at DEN 38 Winston was intercepted. Nick Chubb stopped the defender from scoring another touchdown. Final score 32-41

With the turnovers and big plays it was a fun game to watch. I wish Cleveland had run the ball more, it seemed that they were putting too much on Winston. But this win brings the Broncos closer to a tie with the Chargers in the division.
