Eminem and Paul Rosenberg to be Executive Producers of Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show Powered by Verizon
Music and sports just go together. They’re both forms of entertainment and plenty of fans enjoy the crossover. This month while many have a day off they’ll be able to take in a great matchup of football and a mini concert. In line with this on Thursday the future was revealed… the Lions organization announced that Eminem and Paul Rosenberg will serve as executive producers of the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show powered by Verizon.
This pair wants you to Lose Yourself having fun on an annual basis. And they will only get “one shot” to help you do so for about 10 minutes. Well, actually they’ll get several opportunities in the future; so we’ll stop with the puns, but we couldn’t resist lol.
The Lions released a statement in regards to Eminem and Paul Rosenberg’s upcoming contribution. Detroit says,
“The Detroit Lions announced today a multi-year partnership with global rap icon Marshall Mathers, professionally known as Eminem, and his long-time manager and president of Shady Records, Paul Rosenbergon the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show powered by Verizon. The Detroit natives will consult the club on talent selection and all aspects of halftime production through 2027 for the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Classic presented by Ford.”
Detroit Lions President & CEO Rod Wood had a brief thought to express as well. About the halftime show he mentions,
“We’re thrilled to be working with Marshall and Paul, who are two of the most accomplished and respected names in the music industry, not to mention longtime Lions fans. Their reputation in the business will attract top-tier talent and help us solidify this annual performance as one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”

Eminem and Rosenberg are just as thrilled to be working alongside the Lions franchise. No announcement has been made for this year’s halftime performer. But past performers during the event have included Jack Harlow (2023), Big Sean (2015 and 2021), Jason Derulo (2017), Kid Rock (2010 and 2012) and Mariah Carey (2005).
Rosenberg and Eminem can’t wait to get started. Paul stated, “It’s an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports. We look forward to putting together unforgettable shows featuring world-class artists for the fans at Ford Field and the tens of millions watching around the country.”
