EA Sports College Football 26 Cover Deluxe Edition Leak—Early Look
And we have a leak. On3 Sports revealed an early look of the EA Sports College Football 26 cover for the Deluxe Edition and it reveals not only college football players but coaches. A cool mix of those who have made the game great.
The cover looks to be shot at the iconic Rose Bowl located in Southern California. The annual event in Pasadena is a fitting location due to all the rich history that has been enjoyed for over a century. For instance, originally titled the “Tournament East–West football game”, the first Rose Bowl was played on January 1, 1902, starting the tradition of New Year’s Day bowl games.
Furthermore, the Rose Bowl Game is notable for many firsts. Such as the first local radio broadcast of an East-West bowl game in 1926. Plus, the first transcontinental radio broadcast of a sporting event in 1927.
And now this looks to be the spot for the latest gaming edition of College Football. A production crew plus players (former and current); and a few coaches were spied on the rafters. Waiting for shots to be set up and getting into various poses. Some individuals that we immediately recognized include:

We are going to reserve judgment for the finished and completed cover. Especially, since this was just a photoshoot. For a deluxe cover we personally prefer and like a little more razzle dazzle. The positioning of the players, mascots and athletes feels a little stiff. And not so eye-catching.

However, once truly completed, the finished product could come across way better. And regardless of how the cover looks this game is going to do extremely well. College Football 25 sold like hot cakes.
The long-awaited title welcomed 5 million unique players to the game through its first week of sales. And more than 500,000 played the EA Play trial as well. Additionally, in no time flat (basically one week!) it had already generated $500M in sales for EA Sports. By November 2024, the game had become the best-selling sports video game in the US of all time based on dollar sales. And data also suggests CF25 also breached the threshold of the top 50 highest-selling video games of all time.
Obviously, this title is a gamer favorite. And EA Sports most likely has another hit on their hands. CFB26 will drop sometime this summer.
