EA Sports College Football 2026 Cover Stars and Deluxe Cover
EA Sports made its triumphant return to NCAA football glory last year with the release of CFB 2025. A game that sold and shattered records in ways not seen in sports gaming before. CFB 25’ went on to become the best-selling sports video game in U.S. history based on dollar sales; topping the charts for best-selling game in 2024 in the US. Just for some perspective… in its first week, the game welcomed 5 million unique players, with 500,000 more playing the EA Play trial; with the game generating $500 million in sales within the first week! Now EA is back to give gamers what they want… and they have upped the anticipation by revealing their EA Sports College Football 2026 cover stars and the deluxe cover.
Alabama’s Ryan Williams and Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith are the cover athletes for EA Sports College Football 26, the video-game developer announced Tuesday. Williams and Smith are posed together on the standard cover. Meanwhile, as we reported earlier in the year; the deluxe edition cover also includes other players, coaches, mascots and former cover stars; such as: Reggie Bush, Tim Tebow and Denard Robinson.
Ohio States’ Jeremiah Smith was asked about repping his school in the game. Smith said, “I’m proud to represent Ohio State alongside Coach (Ryan) Day while carrying the Buckeye legacy forward, celebrating the passion of our fans and the tradition of this incredible program.”
Ryan Williams is also thrilled about being featured in the game as well as being one of cover stars with Smith. Both players were questioned about how it feels to receive this opportunity. Ryan said simply that it is “a dream come true,” and Smith called it “a tremendous privilege.”

Nevertheless, can’t wait to get your hands on the latest CFB title? Well, you will not have to wait long. EA Sports has confirmed that College Football 2026 will have a summer release. So then, beginning in about mid-July you will be able to let the games literally begin.
College Football 26 launches worldwide on July 10th, 2025. You can pre-order the Deluxe Edition* or the EA SPORTS™ MVP Bundle in order to play 3 days early.
