This is already shaping up to be CINEMA. This year’s All-Star festivities ended up being more… dare we say, entertaining? Viewership was up this year thanks to the efforts of players such as Victor Wembanyama encouraging more competitive play. But besides the All-Star Game, the three-point event ended up being legendary. Now the this year’s winner is already challenging players to the ultimate shooting duel. The Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard recruits Steph Curry and other shooters for 2027 NBA All-Stars 3-Point Contest.

If you were already delighted with the battle between Kon Knueppel, Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker and Damian Lillard. Hold on to your beer and basketball jersey for what Dame is purposing.

After his big Saturday night victory, Lillard utilized the power of social media in order to get number 30’s attention. And it worked. Lillard shared a screenshot of a DM to Steph Curry, to lure Steph, Klay Thompson, and Devin Booker into next year’s 3-PT contest.

The brief, but effective conversation went like this:

Damian Lillard: Next year… Me, you, Klay, Book, and four more real shooters.

Stephen Curry: Yessir I’m in. Know Klay will do it if I ask and Book will be at home. Perfect setup.

Sounds like the making of something real special for NBA fans. We’d love to even see a couple WNBA players in the mix. The dream that will never happen lol:

The 2027 NBA All-Star Game will be played in
Phoenix, Arizona, at the Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly Footprint Center). Current home of the Phoenix Suns, on Sunday, February 21, 2027. This marks the fourth time Phoenix has hosted the event. The city of Phoenix has had the honor and privilege of hosting previous games in 1975, 1995, and 2009. With Lillard and Curry coming together to put on a show, next year will be a heavily sought after ticket.
