Dallas Got A Commanding Victory Over Washington
In a long standing tradition the Cowboys made their Thanksgiving Day appearance. The result was that Dallas got a commanding victory over division rival Washington. Clicking on all cylinders the Cowboys got their 13th home victory. That’s a team record for the second longest home winning streak.
Initially, the Commanders hung in there with the Cowboys not letting the game get out of hand. But QB Sam Howell missed on some easy throws. He lacked the distance needed on some passes. When he did connect with the receivers they often dropped the ball. The offensive line didn’t provide much protection for Howell so he was frequently on the run. Or getting sacked for a loss of yards.
Additionally, the Commanders couldn’t get their run game going. On 3rd and short they tended to pass the ball. Clearly they didn’t think they could pick up even short gains. However, they couldn’t convert hardly any 3rd downs passing the ball either. It felt like they got lucky when they did complete passes. And in spite of all this they were only down 10-20 at the half.
Neither team scored any points in the third quarter. But Washington’s defense didn’t put pressure on Dak Prescott. He was able to complete his throws without much trouble. Any incomplete passes were mostly due to a poor throw or a receiver dropping the ball. Other than that Dallas did whatever they wanted. And in the fourth quarter they went off. Racking up 25 unanswered points.
Perhaps the Commanders need to do more weight training. They had to gang tackle the Cowboy players to bring them down. And still got taken for a ride. Nor could they push their own players forward to gain more yards. More strength and more speed is what they need.

Cowboy DaRon Bland broke the record for most pick sixes in a season. He got his fifth one today. He intercepted Sam Howell in the final minutes of the game taking it in for the touchdown.
Although the Cowboys won 10-45 I think they will have more difficulty winning against the better teams. Closing out the football festivities today will be the 49ers and Seahawks. I hope this division rivalry will present more entertainment.
