Colts Galloped To A Win Over the Steelers
The Steelers jumped out to a 13-0 lead. But ultimately, the Colts galloped to a win over the Steelers. After a punt and then a Colts missed field goal the Steelers scored their first touchdown. But they missed the extra point.
Following that the Steelers special teams blocked the Colts punt. They took possession on the Colts 1 yard line. They ran the ball and lost three yards. Then Trubisky threw a four yard pass to Diontae Johnson for the second touchdown.
Nevertheless, the Colts weren’t down for long. In the second quarter they drove 80 yards in 10 plays to score their first touchdown. They followed that up with an interception on Trubisky’s first pass. They slumped a bit as they didn’t benefit from the turnover, turning the ball over on downs.
But they made up for that on their next possession. After two big pass plays they scored a 14 yard touchdown. Unfortunately, Colts receiver Michael Pittman, Jr. was injured on a hit by Damontae Kazee. Pittman was taken to the locker room for further evaluation. Kazee was ejected from the game. The Steelers defense was thinned even more with an injury to safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Things continued to get worse for the Steelers in the third quarter. They fumbled the ball on the punt return. Initially, the returner was ruled down but the call was reversed. The Colts took possession on the Steelers 18 yard line. Minshew connected with Alle-Cox for an 18 yard touchdown.

In the fourth quarter Trubisky was intercepted again. The pass was tipped and the Colts caught it. After a good start things fell apart for the Steelers. They couldn’t stop the run, they didn’t provide much protection for Trubisky, turnovers killed them. Trubisky was benched and Mason Rudolph replaced him.
Rudolph was sacked on 4th & 7 for an 11 yard loss. The Colts kneeled on the ball but Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin decided to use his timeouts. The Colts said bet, ran a couple plays, and kicked a 42 yard field goal. So instead of a 13-27 score it ended up 13-30.
Tomlin’s team is in disarray and he will need to sort things out pretty quickly. Meanwhile the Colts have things going in the right direction. Can they keep it up?
