Coach Steve Kerr Revealed That Steph Curry Will Return Tuesday Versus OKC

GSW’s superstar point guard has been missing in action recently. However, basketball fans can go ahead and get excited about his return. Last night after Golden State’s win over the Indiana Pacers, coach Steve Kerr revealed that Steph Curry will return Tuesday versus OKC after dealing with illness.

The Warriors started off the 2025-2026 season with a bang going 4-1. And doing so convincingly against teams such as the Nuggets, Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers. However, the team has also had some duds. Losing to Portland, Milwaukee, Indiana and Sacramento.

After just a couple weeks of competition the organization now finds itself with a 6-5 record. Not bad, not good. Especially, since the West is a “wild wild” shootout year after year. Furthermore, with 71 games left to play, GSW doesn’t need to hit the panic button. But enough games have been played that weaknesses can be assessed and addressed.

As of Monday morning Golden State is in eighth place in the NBA standings (western conference). OKC leads with a record of 10-1, with the Spurs, Lakers and Nuggets all following with seven wins and two losses. So it’s definitely time for the Warriors to get back on their horse and get to riding high.

Golden State has been without Steph Curry for a few games but can now expect him back this week. ESPN’s Anthony Slater mentioned,

“Steph Curry is cleared to return tomorrow night in Oklahoma City. Not listed on the injury report at Thunder. Al Horford is questionable on front side of the back-to-back. Warriors at Spurs on Wednesday. Horford will miss one of the games.”

Sports broadcaster and 95.7 The Game’s Marc Grandi also reports that Steph is very close to a return. Sunday evening Grandi mentioned, “[Steve Kerr on Steph Curry’s illness]: ‘He’s gonna get a workout in [tonight and tomorrow] and go on the trip. We’re hoping he’s able to play in OKC [on Tuesday]. Feeling better, but he hasn’t done much of anything so we didn’t want to throw him out there tonight.’”

Well, even though they didn’t prematurely throw Curry out on the court against the Pacers. The Warriors still performed extremely well. Golden State won the game, 83-114. If Steph is feeling up (and it’s looking like he is); to it he’ll face off versus the high-powered offense of Oklahoma City Thunder which includes Chet Holmgren, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Hartenstein and SGA. Should be a fun one!
