Chicago Sky Angel Reese Revealed As NBA 2K26 Cover Star
Last season, she was a part of an explosive draft class that helped set numerous records in the league. And off the court she joined MLS ownership, marketed her Reebok and Reese’s Pieces collection, hit the coveted Met Gala and even dropped her own McDonald’s meal. Now the basketball star is adding yet another notch to her career legacy. Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has been revealed as a NBA 2K26 cover star along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Carmelo Anthony.
Yes, it has been quite a year for Angel. From last summer till now; she’s been drafted, retired her mom, had a great rookie season; played in Unrivaled and is now turning up the heat on the court.
Reese got off to a very slow start during the 2025 season. With the Sky finding themselves towards the bottom of the league in terms of wins. However, on a personal level Angel is now showing plenty of signs of life.
Beginning in June and rolling on into July it has been a much different story for Miss Reese. Angel now looks like the Angel her fans have come to know and love. This season Reese has averaged 12.8 rebounds, 12.6 points and 3.9 assists in 17 games.
However, in her last nine games, those averages have jumped to 15.0 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.8 blocks on 47.1% shooting from the field and an 85.7% clip from the free-throw line. She ranks fifth in the WNBA in steals per game and first in rebounds.
The Chicago Sky has been singing Angel’s praises due to her latest performances as well. The organization posted:
[Angel Reese] became the first player in league history to record four straight games with at least 15+ rebounds after doing so from June 22-29, averaging 17.5 boards in those games. On June 15, Reese recorded her first career triple-double, notching 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in a win over Connecticut. She became just the 19th player in league history and second-youngest to achieve the feat. She’s also just the fourth player in Sky history to record a triple-double, joining Courtney Williams, Courtney Vandersloot and Candace Parker.
In a June 29 win against Los Angeles, Reese became just one of four players to ever record her stat line of 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in a game, joining Tina Thompson, Lisa Leslie and Candace Parker. The feat hadn’t been accomplished in 13 years.”
Nonetheless, now Reese is also an All Star for the second season in a row. In 2024, Reese became just the fourth rookie in Sky history to be named to the All Star team. And now she is continuing to carry the torch for Chicago fans.
Chicago Sky Angel Reese Revealed As NBA 2K26 Cover Star
On Wednesday morning NBA2K social pages revealed and announced Angel Reese’s cover. Angel now joins the Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson as the first WNBA cover athletes for NBA2K. In NBA 2K26, Angel Reese has an overall 2K Rating of 90 with a Defensive Anchor Build. She has a total of 15 Badges in which 1 of them are Hall of Fame Level.
How does Angel feel about this gaming honor? She states,
“Being on the cover of NBA 2K26… To be cemented in NBA 2K history is a special honor that reflects not only my journey, but also all the veteran WNBA players who have paved the way before me and the growing impact of the league as a whole. I’m proud to be part of a game that continues to elevate women’s basketball and can’t wait for fans to see how NBA 2K26 brings our game to life like never before.”
