CeeDee Lamb And George Pickens Were Disciplined For Missing Curfew In Las Vegas
We were all scratching our heads and wondering why two prominent Dallas Cowboys were not included in their first drive of the game. The Dallas Cowboys had headed to Nevada for the Monday night Nov. 17th tilt against the Raiders in the desert. However, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were disciplined for missing curfew in Las Vegas. As a result of the missed curfew on Sunday they ended up missing the first series of the game.
When asked about the incident, Lamb told reporters that he and Pickens were at Red Rock Casino having dinner and drinks. Due to that bit of information many were saying that Lamb couldn’t hold his liquor and was throwing up. But Lamb took exception to that and made some comments to Clarence Hill Jr.:
“CeeDee Lamb told me he was not down stairs throwing up at 7:30 a.m. in the morning as many rumors have suggested. He said he can hold his liquor better than that. He did acknowledge he missed curfew with George Pickens and that’s why they were benched for the opening drive against the Raiders. He said they were at Red Rock where they had dinner at the steakhouse.”
Apparently the Cowboys had a 10 p.m. PT curfew Sunday night with a 5:15 p.m. PT kickoff Monday. Nevertheless, what makes the missed curfew even more interesting is how well both Lamb and Pickens performed that night. Lamb’s stats were 66 yards and a touchdown, while Pickens had a career-high-tying nine catches for 144 yards and a 37-yard TD reception. So naturally people think maybe they should miss curfew more often! Even head coach Brian Schottenheimer didn’t particularly seem upset about the incident.
Pickens said his relationship with Schottenheimer, who hugged both receivers after Lamb’s touchdown, has grown closer as the year has gone on. That’s a good thing because he’s currently on a one-year deal.

Schottenheimer would very much like for Pickens to stay with the Cowboys as he will be free agent at the end of the season. Lamb already signed his big contract last year which pays him on average $34 million per year. The coach has imagined what it would be like to have both top-tier receivers on his roster going forward. He said:
“Sign me up. I mean, what do you say? Those two guys, I just love their relationship, man. I love the firepower that they give us,” Schottenheimer said. “That’s one of those games where you never know which one it’s going to be. Some games it’s both of them, some games it’s one of them, and again, like I said, I pinch myself at times. … I’m very in favor of George having a long-term future with us.”
That’s all good but maybe keep them away from Las Vegas if possible!
