Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro Indiana Fever Sneaker—Yes, Still Coming This Year

Honestly it doesn’t really matter what these shoes look like. The point is that they are going to SELL. On Wednesday basketball fans and sneaker heads got another good look at the Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro Indiana Fever sneaker design.

As one can see, it definitely displays the vibe and spirit of the WNBA franchise. Utilizing the team’s home jersey colors. Tones of deep blue, fiery orange/red gradient and gold. The very first public showcase looks of the shoe were spied back towards the end of 2024. Somewhere around late October. However, Caitlin Clark HAS BEEN putting out the color-way for the masses to see for months.

Caitlin first debuted this pair of kicks at the Fever vs Sun playoff round 1, game 1 shoot around (not worn in game). She wore them before the matchup during practice. Furthermore, the sneakers also made their second appearance in her Rookie Of The Year photoshoot. So basically it is the worst kept secret, which is slightly surprising since brands tend to want more secrecy.

However, more executives of the iconic shoe brand are starting to confirm more details regarding the shoe and its official release. While they still refuse to provide an EXACT date, the shoe is still expected to be released later this year.

And there is other good news. Clark has been busy working out the design and logistics of her own signature shoe. Something fans have already been clamoring for and wanting. As Marca reports:

“Clark’s off-season has been anything but quiet. She co-starred in Nike’s “So Win” marketing campaign, which debuted during Super Bowl LIX. In the ad, Clark can be seen sporting another eye-catching pair: the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low “Moonwalker” colorway.

Beyond her appearances in high-profile campaigns, Clark has been busy at Nike’s Oregon headquarters working on her first-ever signature sneaker. According to Nike CEO Elliott Hill, this project is part of an unprecedented eight-year, $28 million signature sneaker deal Clark signed in 2024-the largest endorsement contract ever for a women’s basketball player.”

So Clark fans if you’re not able to get your hands on the “Indiana Fevers” just wait for the actual Clark shoes. They’ll be here before we know it. And will most likely be another bestseller for the WNBA superstar.
