Caitlin Clark is the FASTEST WNBA Player With 400 Points and 200 Assists
This is exactly why basketball fans were so excited about the 2024 Rookie class. They are not only GOOD. But already smashing records like nobody’s business. Like how Caitlin Clark is the FASTEST WNBA Player With 400 Points and 200 Assists. Hitting this mark so early in her professional career and doing it faster than a retired WNBA legend.
Tonight Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark, who during a matchup against the Dallas Wings was a total powerhouse and totally on fire. She broke not one. But TWO records in this one single game. Both having to do with assists.
However, beyond even breaking assist records, Clark did something else elite in the process. In the game Caitlin puts up:
- 24 Points
- 19 Assists (WNBA Record)
- 6 Rebounds
- 10/19 FG
This helped Clark to reach 400 points and 200 assists in just 26 games! This is the fewest career games needed to accomplish this milestone in WNBA history.
Nevertheless, what woman baller had the previous low? The great Sue Bird. Bird had hit 400 points and 200 assists in record time as well, but it took her 33 games. Which means that Clark has Sue beat by a whole 7 games.
So then, Caitlin completely smashed the previous low. Clark was impressive in college and she is still such an entertaining and exciting talent in the WNBA.
Caitlin Clark is FASTEST the WNBA Player With 400 Points and 200 Assists
As one can see, Caitlin Clark is putting on a PERFORMANCE. A major show for fans. And proving why she is a solid candidate for Rookie of the Year.
What’s next for the superstar? A highly anticipated All Star Game against the USA Women’s Olympic Basketball Team; before they head off to compete in Paris. This matchup is going to be must see TV. Since several WNBA fans are still a bit upset over Clark not being included on the roster.
Another Olympics opportunity “opened up” when the Los Angeles Sparks’ Cameron Brink unfortunately tore her ACL. Although fans called for Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark to replace Brink, she wasn’t eligible for a spot on the U.S. roster as she did not participate in any prior 3×3 competitions and did not earn any FIBA 3×3 ranking points as a result.
So then, the Olympics might not be in the plans; but now it’s showdown time. Time to show off the skills! Clark will pair up with Angel Reese as teammates to take on Team USA. Catch the game on July 20 on ABC at 8:30 pm ET. The league’s 20th All-Star Game will be played at Footprint Center in Phoenix, home of the three-time WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury.
