Caitlin Clark Announces Will Miss 2025 All-Star Game and 3-Point Contest
The WNBA’s biggest star is going to miss one the league’s biggest events of the year. After sustaining a second groin injury this season; the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark announced that she will miss the 2025 All-Star Game and the 3-Point Contest. Two competitions that basketball fans were looking forward to seeing Clark participate in this coming weekend.
Caitlin had set a historic record with this year’s All-Star festivities. The fans came out in droves to ensure she was selected. In fact, after all the days of voting were completed and numbers tallied; Clark had received 1,293,526 fan votes for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. This is a record for the most fan votes received by a single player in WNBA history.
Additionally, Caitlin was also selected to be one of two captains for the All-Star game, along with Minnesota Lynx, Napheesa Collier. Nonetheless, all plans took a sharp; unfortunate turn earlier this week. The Indiana Fever guard injured her right groin on Tuesday night in the final minute of the team’s win over the Connecticut Sun.
Caitlin Clark truly wishes she could be on the court this weekend. Had been excited for Indiana to be hosting the 2025 WNBA All-Stars. And wanted to be present to battle it out with her fellow colleagues. But after receiving much medical attention and advice; she is making the call to sit this one out.

Nevertheless, she has a heartfelt message for WNBA fans:
“I’m so excited for Indy to host WNBA
AlI-Star this weekend. I want to thank the Indianapolis Host Committee and all of the people that have put endless work in over the past year to put this event together. I know this will be the best All-Star yet.
I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-Point Contest or the All-Star Game. I have to rest my body.
I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I’m looking forward to helping Sandy coach our team to a win.
Can’t wait to see you all out there!”
Clark had been durable throughout college and her first season in the WNBA; never missing a game. Now she’s had four different muscle injuries so far this year. But hopefully with treatment and more rest coming her way; a full recovery will be imminent.
Although fans would love to see Clark in action this weekend. Most just want her to get healthy. So that when the time is right we can get back to seeing the dynamic, entertaining Caitlin we have come to know.
