Blowouts And Turnovers Abounded In NFL Week 17
After the crazy Detroit and Dallas game the excitement continued. Blowouts and turnovers abounded in NFL Week 17 in the early Sunday games. Miami went up to Baltimore and got their heads handed to them. Lamar Jackson threw for 5 touchdowns. Their defense was a bit sluggish in the beginning but soon came alive. Ravens won 19-56.
New England was at Buffalo and had 3 turnovers in 10 minutes. The Patriots offense had no production. Yet somehow they only lost 21-27. They can thank their defense for keeping them in the game. Atlanta went to Chicago and also received a beat down. Their first half was rough with missed field goals, punts and an interception. Meanwhile the Bears kept scoring touchdowns. They beat the Falcons 17-37.
The Tennessee Titans paid a visit to the Houston Texans. They should have stayed home. Will Levis was beat up, then injured and replaced by Ryan Tannehill. All they could muster was a field goal. The Texans whipped the Titans to the tune of 3-26.
Indianapolis Colts hosted the Las Vegas Raiders. Nothing much happened offensively for the Raiders in the first half. They mounted a comeback in the second half. But the Colts held on for the 20-23 win and their playoff hopes. The Carolina Panthers were shut out by the Jacksonville Jaguars who were without Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars had almost as many rushing yards as passing yards. Which led to their 0-26 victory.
The Rams traveled to the east coast to take on the New York Giants. Like the Raiders, the Giants started slowly but pulled to within 4 points of the lead by halftime. However, the Rams held on for the 26-25 victory.
