Bills And Buccaneers Beat Down Their Opponents

The conclusion of Super Wild Card Weekend was lackluster. Both the Buffalo Bills and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat down their opponents with relative ease. And in the process have advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs.

First up was Pittsburgh at Buffalo. In a stadium full of snow it was hard to imagine a game even taking place. And yet the Buffalo Bills showed up and showed out. Today we got to see “good” Josh Allen play. He led his team on an 80 yard touchdown drive. Later he ran the ball himself which ended in a 52 yard touchdown. They were up 7-21 by the end of the first half.

Mason Rudolph, on the other hand struggled mightily. He threw an interception and missed out on some opportunities to score. However, he and the rest of the Steelers did hang in there and fight. But they couldn’t dig themselves out of the hole they were in. Although the Bills got the 17-31 victory, it came at a cost. They suffered some injuries on the defensive side of the ball. And they have to play Kansas City coming off a short week.

As for Philadelphia @ Tampa Bay it was a sad affair for the Eagles. They pretty much had fallen apart towards the end of the season. And the downward spiral continued. Much of the blame goes to the defensive side of the ball. They couldn’t tackle or stop anyone. The Buccaneers marched down the field with ease. Baker Mayfield threw the ball whenever he wanted to whomever he wanted.

Likely the Eagles will need to make a change at the Defensive Coordinator position. They will also need to get back to their winning ways. Starting a season at 10-1 and then flaming out is unacceptable for any team.

Bills And Buccaneers Beat Down Their Opponents

So that’s a wrap for Super Wild Card Weekend. Overall it seems that most of the winning teams dominated. It was also to see young quarterbacks like C.J. Stroud and Jordan Love win their first playoff games. Their respective coaches, DeMeco Ryans and Matt LeFleur also deserve a round of applause.

And let’s not forget that the Lions finally got a playoff victory after 32 years. Kudos to them! Now we can move on to the divisional round. On Saturday it will be Texans @ Ravens and Packers @ 49ers. On Sunday it will be Buccaneers @ Lions and Chiefs @ Bills. I can hardly wait!
