With the possibility of still making the playoffs the Cincinnati Bengals came out firing on all cylinders. It looked as if the Pittsburgh Steelers had no answer on how to stop them or how to move the ball themselves. Burrow had his team moving down field and making it look easy; however, that momentum didn’t last. And although the Bengals held on for the win against the Steelers they still need playoff help. They punted and the Bengals moved down the field again. But the Steelers’ defense sacked Burrow on 3rd & 6 at PIT 26 and the Bengals kicked a 48-yard field goal. The defensive stop brought the Pittsburgh offense alive. Najee Harris ran the ball effectively and he scored the 1-yard touchdown run.

The Bengals also had to punt after another Burrow sack. However, on the punt return Calvin Austin fumbled the ball and it was recovered by the Bengals. But a few plays later Burrow was intercepted. The Steelers couldn’t capitalize, unable to convert 4th & 1 at PIT 37. Nevertheless, Cincinnati made the Steelers pay for the turnover with a 27-yard field goal. Pittsburgh’s offense was unproductive while the Bengals’ offense missed opportunities to score. At halftime, the Bengals led 13-7.
