Count them up on three fingers everyone. The selection is in and the city has been named. Atlanta to host 2025 MLB All Star Game in Truist Park. This marks the third time that this fan favorite event will be held in Atlanta, Georgia.
The 2025 All-Star Game will be the 95th Midsummer Classic, the first held in Atlanta since 2000. The era of Derek Jeter. You may recall Jeter winning Most Valuable Player that particular ASG.
However, just a few years ago… it’s a completely different story. The All-Star Game and activities are set for 2021, then suddenly snatched from the ATL. All due to growing concerns as well as objections to changes in Georgia’s voting rights laws.
Well, that was 2021. It is now 2023. The MLB is moving on and also wants the show to go on too.
Speaking highly of the Braves ball club, Commissioner Rob Manfred states,
“I commend Terry McGuirk, Derek Schiller, the entire Braves organization and the Atlanta Sports Council for leading this effort. As a model of success on and off the field, the Braves deserve to host the All-Star Game. Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta will provide fans a world-class experience in 2025. We look forward to working with the Braves and local leaders to deliver a memorable All-Star Week that brings people together and benefits the community in many ways.”

Furthermore, the Atlanta Braves are ready to get on with things as well. The team is thrilled to have the All Star Game game rolling back into town. In a brief statement they reveal their full sentiments. The organization states,
“We are thrilled that Major League Baseball has awarded the 2025 All Star Game to the Atlanta Braves! This will be an exciting and [also] unique opportunity to showcase all that our organization; our partners, and our city have to offer.
Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta [are] specially designed for an event like this; and will provide the ideal backdrop for the Midsummer Classic. The MLB All-Star Game will join the long list of epic sporting events hosted in Atlanta in recent years. Including the Super Bowl, MLS All-Star Game, College Football Playoff National Championship, and more.
