Arch Manning Makes His Texas Debut

Arch Manning Makes His Texas Debut Against Texas Tech

A Manning that can scramble?! Seriously, kid possesses some wheels. The whole college football realm got to witness a sports family’s genetics strike again; as Arch Manning makes his Texas debut against Texas Tech.

Impressive. Electric. And… checks notes… a young man with speed?! We are used to seeing Peyton and Eli be absolutely dominant within the pocket. However, their nephew is getting the job done even on the run.

Arch’s Texas Longhorn debut highlights include nice throws, scrambles for extra yardage; and even the signature Manning “hush the crowd” arms gesture before the next snap. The university was excited to bring Arch into the sold out game, proudly announcing, “[And] now at quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, #16 Arch Manning!”

How’d the young gun do? He helped his school and team nab a spot in the Big 12 Championship. Not bad!

Furthermore, Fox 7’s Dennis de la Pena gave a quick report on Manning’s successful outing. Pena states,

“Arch Manning’s Texas debut included a couple nice scrambles, a flash of that 5-star arm talent on his first college completion, and at least a couple ovations from the DKR faithful.

[The] Longhorns whip Texas Tech 57-7 to earn a spot in the Big 12 Championship.”

Congratulations Longhorns. Moreover, Doug Rush; a sports writer that covers news and updates for the New York Giants; also hit the college news waves with details on Arch’s gameplay details. Rush reveals,

“Arch Manning, the freshman quarterback at Texas and nephew to Peyton and Eli Manning, makes his college debut in Texas’ 57-7 blowout of Texas Tech.

He finished going 2-for-5 with 30 yards and three carries for 7 yards.”

Thus far, the future looks very bright for Arch. Especially, since he has two, two-time Super Bowl winning uncles to consult for guidance. Therefore, the Manning family sports tree is continuing to spread its roots further and deeper into football history.

Nevertheless, Manning is not the only Longhorn showing potential. Several members of the 2023 recruiting class showed out during the Longhorns matchup versus Texas Tech. Just a quick recap:

-Tre Wisner: First career rushing TD
-Malik Muhammad: First career INT
-Arch Manning: First career completion and first down
-Anthony Hill Jr.: 1 sack, 1 TFL, 3 defensive stops

Nice. Longhorns’ fans will have plenty to cheer for, for awhile. Also, they get to keep watching another Manning do his thing, and continue to develop as a QB. Sweet… and oh yeah… HOOK EM!’
