Arch Manning 67 Yard Rush Touchdown and More Puts Texas on Top Over UTSA Roadrunners

A Manning… with WHEELS?! You bet your college mascot. Eli and Peyton’s nephew is putting that work in on the field and already becoming a bonafide legend. Case in point, the Arch Manning 67 yard rush touchdown on Saturday that sent social media into a frenzied posting ball of chaos.

It was an insane display of talent. As Arch didn’t just have one highlight of the night. Literally, from the moment he put cleat to grass he was a nonstop highlight reel.

And what made things even more interesting, is that Manning was coming in to “save the day.” Taking over for the injured Quinn Ewers during the second quarter. Arch was calm, Arch was ready.

Immediately after taking the ball into his own hands, the kid makes an impact. On his first pass, Manning found DeAndre Moore Jr. for a 19-yard score, which put Texas up 21-0. A great start, but it would only get better.

UTSA basically told the crowd to chill for a moment, because they answered back (and it would be their only answer). With their own 53-yard touchdown. However, Manning in return would then say hold my pigskin everyone, because what he did next was nothing short of electric. Opting to keep the ball himself, Manning turned into Usain Bolt, pulled a Mike Vick and sprinted 67 yards to the house to complete a two-play drive of his own and extend the lead to 28-7!

We are so used to seeing this football family get it done efficiently from the pocket. Seeing a Manning run, with speed, is like watching the T-1000 in Terminator. The model has been enhanced lol. But we digress.

Texas would go on to dominate the game. Winning 56-7. And Manning’s stats would be:

  • 9/12
  • 223 Pass Yards
  • 4 Passing TDs
  • 53 Rush Yards
  • 1 Rush TD

So Texas’ future is extremely bright. The pieces are there. Plus, there’s two talented QBs.

However, if you are wondering about Ewers, after his departure. There is some positive news. Ewers did leave the game early in the second quarter after spending about 15 minutes in the medical tent on the sideline. But he walked off under his own power with 10 minutes to go in the second quarter.

Nevertheless, hopefully there will be more encouraging news about Quinn in the coming hours. But with Arch in the balances, Texas is going to be fine one way or another. And with Manning just being 19-years-old what else are we going to be privileged to see him do in the future? This season is shaping up to be a wild one, buckle up.
