Annual NFL Honors Awards Were Handed Out Last Night
The competition for the NFL MVP award was hotly contested but there were really just two players in the running. There are nine AP Awards categories and ten NFL Awards categories all of which are a part of the NFL Honors. And in New Orleans, the annual NFL Honors Awards were handed out last night. The event was hosted by Snoop Dogg who seems to be everywhere, at every event.
The MVP award is the category most people seem to be interested in and this year there were five nominees. They are Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. Lamar Jackson was looking to get his own three-peat by winning again this year. But it wasn’t meant to be as Josh Allen beat him out with 27 first-place votes to Jackson’s 23. In fact Jackson didn’t win any awards.

Annual NFL Honors Awards Were Handed Out Last Night
You can go here to see the NFL Awards recipients. Last night the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class was revealed. Only four received the honor of being inducted. It is the smallest group since 2005 but that number has not been uncommon. This is the 19th time in the Hall of Fame’s history a class has been composed of three or four enshrinees since the first four-person class was chosen in 1970. Also, there were many notable players who were left out. We’ll talk more about that later.
