Angel Reese and Chelsea Gray Lead Rose BC to Unrivaled Playoff Berth!

It’s been a fun season, but now things are really heating up. Who shall wear the crown and hoist this year’s trophy? Well, there’s a team making a lot noise and giving it everything they got; and it’s paying off. Due their playing efforts, on Monday evening Angel Reese and Chelsea Gray help lead the Rose BC to an Unrivaled Playoff Berth.

The Unrivaled league this year has blessed us with another opportunity (when the WNBA is not in session); to see some talented women ballers doing their thing and dominating the court. Furthermore, what has been fun to observe with the Rose BC is the developing relationship and on court chemistry between Chelsea Gray and Angel Reese. These two seem to feed off of each other’s energy well. And work together seamlessly, playing to each other strengths.

Their strong connection was evident during their recent matchup against the Laces. A very important game for the Rose. Win… and you clinch a playoff spot. But it would NOT be easy.

At halftime the Laces and Rose were only separated by one single point. Scoreboard read 31-30. Obviously, both teams wanted the win badly.

The pace of the game was thrilling and intense. But that’s just the nature of this league. Remember, Unrivaled pushes a fast-paced style. Not only by playing 3-on-3 on a full-court, but by implementing a shorter shot clock. The games utilize an 18-second shot clock, which is a significant difference from the WNBA (24 seconds) and college (30 seconds).

Nevertheless, in the third quarter things only intensify. The Rose had only managed to extend their lead by the smallest of margins. Leading 47-44. But with the winning score being 58, they were closing in on the finish.

However, in the fourth quarter the Laces kept making things interesting. They fire right back until the score reads 51-50! But then Reese and Gray go for the JUGULAR. Point forward Angel Reese dishes it to Chelsea Gray who knocks down a big-time 3! Gray calls game, and the Rose win it 58-53.

The Laces fought valiantly. However, the Rose would come away as the victors and punch their ticket to the playoffs. Well earned. Well deserved. Congratulations to the ladies of Rose BC!
