Aaron Judge Became The Fastest To Reach 350 Home Runs By A Wide Margin

There is no hyperbole involved with saying that he is a living legend. His stats are off the charts and he’s not done playing yet. And he’s having another stellar baseball season this year. However, they don’t call him a power hitter for nothing. Today in a game against the Chicago Cubs, Aaron Judge became the fastest to reach 350 home runs by a wide margin. In the ninth inning of a 5-2 loss to the Cubs, Judge connected on the 350th home run of his sensational career.

Judge was already known for his exceptional power hitting and record-breaking home run statistics. But he even outdid himself today by reaching 350 home runs at a much quicker clip than anyone before. According to mlb.com, Saturday was the 1,088th game of Judge’s career. The previous fastest to reach 350 long balls was Mark McGwire, who achieved the milestone in 1,280 games — 192 games more than Judge.

As detailed by MLB reporter Sarah Langs, below is the list of the hitters to reach 350 homers the fastest:

Fewest career games to 350 home runs:

Aaron Judge: 1,088

Mark McGwire: 1,280

Juan Gonzalez: 1,298

Alex Rodriguez: 1,301

Harmon Killebrew: 1,319

Albert Pujols: 1,320

That means Judge has surpassed some of the most elite hitters to ever play the game. Wow! The homer was also Judge’s 35th of the season, which ties him for fourth all-time in big flies hit in the first half of the season. Mariners slugger Cal Raleigh actually leads Judge with 38 this season. Which is one shy of Barry Bonds’ MLB record — 39. So he definitely has some very stiff competition.

You would think that he would be participating in the 2025 Home Run Derby. But alas, fans will be disappointed this year as he will not be a participant in the Derby. He has repeatedly stated that he will only participate if the All-Star Game is held at Yankee Stadium, which is not the case this year, according to Yahoo Sports. The 2025 All-Star Game will be held at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

However, he was selected as a starting outfielder for the American League after being the leading vote-getter in the first phase of fan voting. Which earned him an automatic starting spot. This is Judge’s seventh career All-Star selection and his sixth as a starter, according to MLB.com.

Congratulations to Aaron Judge on his spectacular 350th home run in the shortest amount of time ever!
