Los Angeles Rams Informed Cooper Kupp Of Impending Trade
He suffered some injuries early in the 2024 season but came back stronger than ever. He looked like the player we had been used to seeing. However, he posted on social media yesterday some shocking information. The Los Angeles Rams informed Cooper Kupp of an impending trade. Kupp posted that:
“I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA.”
It was most unexpected to see that the Rams wished to trade one of their top players. Although Kupp will turn 32 in June and has missed time due to injury with 18 total games lost since 2022. In spite of the injuries he was still productive on the field. This past season the former All-Pro caught 67 passes for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. And totaled over 700 receiving yards and at least five TD catches in each of the past three seasons.
So where might Kupp end up? NFL.com analyst and former quarterback David Carr suggests the Buffalo Bills. With Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins on their way out the door, Kupp could slid right in. And help mentor young receivers Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman. On the other hand, Maurice Jones-Drew, former Jaguars running back unsurprisingly suggests Jacksonville as a landing spot. He believes Kupp’s leadership skills will undoubtedly help build the culture under the new regime.

No matter where he goes this news was still a devastating blow to Kupp. He went on to say in his post:

I have taken so much pride in playing alongside my teammates for the LA community, so thank you for embracing my family and making this such a special place for us. 2024 began with one of the best training camps of my career. Preparations start now for 2025. Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come. Love you guys.. But coming for it all.
Hopefully, he will have a soft landing wherever he may go.
