Luka Doncic Releases Heartfelt Messages to Both Mavericks and Lakers Fans
It’s been quite a whirlwind in the NBA. Trades happening left and right. But the biggest blockbuster thus far has been between the Lakers with Anthony Davis and the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic. Fans, as well as current and past players were so shocked by this move they had to be convinced the news was legitimate. However, now that the dust is settling the Lakers new superstar is breaking his silence. Being a true class act, Luka Doncic releases heartfelt messages to both the Mavericks and Lakers fans.
Doncic, although originally stunned and shocked by the trade, is really looking forward to the future. He plans to bring his very best to the purple and gold. And will not allow this big change in team or scenery to diminish his enthusiasm. He reassured LA basketball fans by stating,
Grateful for this amazing opportunity. Basketball means everything to me, and no matter where I play the game, I’ll do so with the same joy, passion and goal – to win championships.
The word championship is definitely music to ears of Lakers fans. The Lakers are one of the most successful teams in the history of the NBA with 17 championships, the second most in the league behind the Boston Celtics. And they would love to add another. With Doncic now a part of the organization, even with Lebron’s retirement looming the team’s future looks solid.

Nevertheless, Luka still has nothing but love for Mavericks fans. He penned them a special letter. It reads as follows:
Dear Dallas,
Seven years ago, I came here as a teenager to pursue my dream of playing basketball at the highest level. I thought I’d spend my career here and I wanted so badly to bring you a championship. The love and support you all have given me is more than I could have ever dreamed of. For a young kid from Slovenia coming to the U.S. for the first time, you made North Texas feel like home.
In good times and bad, from injuries to the NBA Finals, your support never changed. Thank you not only for sharing my joy in our best moments, but also for lifting me up when I needed it most.
To all the organizations I’ve worked with throughout the Dallas community, thank you for letting me contribute to your important work and join you in bringing light to those who need it. As I start the next part of my basketball journey, I am leaving a city that will always feel like a home away from home.
Dallas is a special place, and Mavs fans are special fans.

Very nice. With Anthony Davis now in Dallas and Luka Doncic now in Los Angeles; it will be interesting to see how both teams fare. Both franchises got the guy they wanted. Now the rest of the season and future years shall tell the ultimate tale.
