He’s been in some of the biggest blockbusters in recent cinema such as Interstellar and Dune. However, now he is adding another dimension to his illustrious resume… a man who knows ball. On Saturday, this young Hollywood star shocked the masses, Timothée Chalamet effortlessly became everyone’s favorite analyst on College GameDay. And to top it all off, some of his prophetic picks actually came true. Epic.
When the announcement first went out on who the latest celebrity guest would be; the initial reaction wasn’t even mixed. Most college football fans were not too excited about Chalamet coming onto the show. However, very quickly Timothée changed the minds of viewers and even sports reporters.
For instance, one prediction in particular caught everyone off guard. The 28-year-old actor set to star in the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” opening Christmas Day; predicted favorite Miami of Ohio would lose to in-state rival Ohio University in the MAC championship. At halftime Ohio was currently up over Miami (OH), 21-3.
What makes this even more impressive. Is that Chalamet was the ONLY one to pick Ohio to beat up on Miami on College GameDay. Wild.
So then, how did things shape up? In the end, did Timothée prove to be correct? YES! A crowd of 15,478 was in attendance at Ford Field today for the MAC championship game. A landslide victory won by Ohio, 38-3, over Miami (Ohio).
Some major history was also made. This win helped end a drought. This is Ohio’s first MAC title since 1968.

As one can see, Chalamet knows his stuff. And fans all over the country got to discover his football knowledge. Plus, he earned plenty of respect.
Regarding Timothée, Peter Schrager a senior writer for FOX Sports says, “Timothee Chalamet came prepared, researched, and referenced the Pony Express. Maybe the best College Gameday guest picker yet. NYC guy. Respect.”
Peter isn’t the only one singing praises. NBA co-host Chris Vernon adds,
“Timothee Chalamet being a real deal college football fan, being a SMU fan, and knowing about all these teams was so crazy to me. I thought he was just invited because he is famous, but he was a legit great guest picker on College Gameday.”
If you’re curious about another one of Chalamet’s picks. Timothée picked the Longhorns to win. At halftime Texas was up. But by the third Georgia had taken the lead 10-6. So then, we will soon see how this prediction turns out.
