Two women ballers seemed to be going head to head in terms of rebounds this season. With one taking a commanding lead as a rookie. But, both athletes have been putting on a grandiose show for their fans and are worthy of praise. However, only one could prove to be the boards Queen. So then, put those hands together for the Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson who passes Angel Reese for most rebounds in a single season.

Angel Reese and the Sky had been rolling until after the Olympics break. Then the franchise seemed to lose momentum and speed. Nevertheless, before her unfortunate wrist injury, Reese had still put up an impressive performance in the league. Racking up an astounding 446 rebounds.

However, Wilson has been on an absolute tear all season as well. Posting up 30-40 points during games. And helping to nudge her team to another playoffs appearance and maybe even another championship. Which would be a three peat for the WNBA franchise.

As we all know, defense as well as rebounding wins championships. Therefore, Las Vegas looks to be in great hands. Especially, with a baller like A’ja on the roster. Wilson is definitely getting the job done on both sides of the ball.

On Tuesday, Wilson continued her record-setting year Tuesday by passing Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese’s recently set mark for most rebounds in a WNBA season. Wilson tallied seven rebounds in Tuesday’s 85-72 win over the Seattle Storm to reach 451 boards for the season.

Nevertheless, seeing Wilson attain yet another record is not surprising. It’s another day for her and fans. She steps on the court and makes history.

Literally, in the past week the WNBA record keepers have been working OT. Last week, Wilson broke the WNBA’s single-season scoring record, and on Sunday she became the first player in league history to reach 1,000 points in a single season. Now she is also a rebound legend. How does she feel about her latest accomplishment? Wilson reveals,

“It’s a blessing. This league is tough, so if my name can be in the record books in some sort of way, it’s a blessing. So that’s cool.

I’m 6-foot-4 and I’m around the basket; I hope I can grab a couple rebounds for my team,” Wilson concluded. “But when it comes to just getting them to get them, I’m not focused on that. I’m focused on putting the ball in the hoop.”

So yes, rebounding isn’t at the top of her list. She wants to make sure she’s doing her part when scoring. But this recent achievement just goes to show and remind everyone why she is the best in the league.
