Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb’s Recovery Progressing Well
It’s no secret that Nick Chubb is a hard worker with impressive strength. His social media posts in the past have shown his incredible weightlifting prowess. Such a dedicated work ethic has no doubt contributed to Cleveland Browns’ RB Nick Chubb’s recovery progressing well. Eight months into his recovery and things are looking very bright for the tenacious running back. The injury that Chubb suffered last season was deemed too gruesome to show on national television.
Although his injury looked to be extremely severe, initially MRI testing showed that his ACL in his left knee had not been torn. It was instead the MCL (torn medial collateral ligament) only. However, Chubb required two surgeries. One to repair damage to the medial collateral ligament (MCL), the medial capsule and meniscus. And the second to repair the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
Recently, Cleveland Browns Insider Noah Weiskopf provided this update on Chubb:
“Chubb can run nearly full speed in a straight line and the next step in his recovery is cutting laterally, a big progression towards returning to the field. Chubb is ahead of schedule on his recovery after he underwent two surgeries in the fall to repair his medial capsule, meniscus, MCL and ACL. While things can change and a specific game on the #Browns’ 2024 schedule cannot be pinpointed for his return, I’m told the goal is for Chubb to return to the field for game action in an earlier part of the 2024 season. And no, Week 1 hasn’t been ruled out yet either.”
And now eight months after surgery, Chubb appears to be squatting about 540 pounds.

Weiskopf also reported that Chubb is ranked as the No. 3 running back heading into 2024 by NFL executives, coaches and scouts, despite his serious knee injury in 2023. (ESPN). How crazy is that? Obviously those folks are not concerned about his recovery to give him that high of a ranking. The Instagram post by joc.films sums up Chubb’s situation nicely:

That gives me chills. Surely the Cleveland Browns fans can’t wait to see their premier running back out on the field again.
