Golden State Warriors Statement Uniform is Finally Here
The Warriors have been teasing that something is coming. With many fans speculating that it is most likely new uniforms. Well, such individuals would not be wrong and they will not be disappointed. The Golden State Warriors Statement Uniform is finally announced and unveiled to the masses.
The athletic fit contains a plethora of detailing that perfectly encapsulates the championship franchise. Including a new “W” logo that is going to get plenty of looks this upcoming season. So then, what kind of statement is GSW hoping to make with the new jersey and shorts look? Via social media the Warriors simply mention, “An extension of the Warriors. A bold impact. It’s all in the details. The Statement Edition uniform highlights The Bay Bridge, uniting Bay Area communities.”
Perfect. It is always a good thing to bring everyone together. Sports is certainly a community activity. But still… why the changes in uniform? Warriors Senior Vice President of Marketing Amanda Chin reveals,
“We have the ability to redesign our Statement Edition uniform every three years, and we wanted to take full advantage of this unique opportunity. Aligning the launch of our new secondary logo with our 2024-25 Statement Edition uniform allowed us to highlight a new part of our core identity in a bold and exciting way.”
Well, mission accomplished. However, let’s switch gears. Let’s get into a few of the aspects and embellishments we spied. Here are some additional design elements you will notice after glancing over the statement edition uniform. They include:
SECONDARY LOGO: A new golden “W” stylized as a basketball hoop.
COLORWAY: A bold black and gray with hints of iconic Warriors blue and gold.
SLOPING CABLE: Represents the Bay Bridge and connects the jersey with shorts.
BRIDGE TEXTURE: Mimics the inner wires of cables that support the Bay Bridge.
That new “W” logo does look cool. Benny Gold, who designed it, explains the inspiration. Gold says,
“The Warriors are widely considered to have the greatest shooting backcourt in the game’s history. The new logo represents the team’s renowned style of play by combining a ‘W’ for Warriors with a net symbolizing 3-point shooting. The monogram is designed to resemble a basketball net and rim, with the slight arch in the ‘W’ giving the impression of a ball dropping through the net.”

Very nice. Furthermore, Golden State’s shooting guard, Brandin Podziemski also helps to unveil the new edition uniform. In a video he shows off the jersey and shorts and gives a nice explanation about them. He says,
“Wow perfect. What a jersey. Nice details.
I like how we incorporated the black, blue, gold and gray kind of into one. You’ll see this new logo on a lot of our jerseys this year; (golden “W” stylized as a basketball hoop). I think it’s pretty dope. It signifies our identity of having great shooting.
This blue seam that runs down the jersey and connects to the shorts is showing The Bay Bridge. I think it makes a statement. Very excited to wear this next season.”
Golden State’s new uniforms are available for purchase as part of The Statement Edition Collection Designed by Benny Gold. The new logo was created in collaboration with Silverstein Goodby & Partners Design.
