Pacers Tyrese Haliburton Injures His Hamstring and Is Carried Off the Court
Definitely not the scene you want to see. Pain. Agony. And a bunch of concerned faces. The Pacers Tyrese Hailburton injures his hamstring after a rough fall in a matchup against the Boston Celtics.
Moments after the incident, Tyrese, grimacing…attempts to scoot away from the spot of his unfortunate accident. He is helped onto his feet. However, after a few steps the shearing pain just becomes way too much. Fellow teammates immediately rush to provide help.
In the end, Haliburton is carried off the court in order to receive additional medical attention. It’s his own teammates doing the carrying. As the procession makes its way towards the tunnel, Haliburton can be seen with a towel over his head covering his face.
Noa Dalzell who covers the Celtics for SB Nation recounts the incident. She states,
“Tyrese Haliburton appears to be hurt, and is carried off the court. Really hate to see it. Former teammate and good friend Oshae Brissett stuck by his side as Haliburton lay on the court.
Celtics lead 68-59 at the half, largely thanks to a huge first half by Jaylen Brown, who has 25 points on 11-14 shooting.
Big story of the half, though, is Tyrese Haliburton’s injury – haven’t seen a replay but from the look on his face and body language alone, it looked bad.”
The cause of fall seems to be due to Tyrese slipping on the floor. With the ball in his hands, he begins to slide and stretches out into a full split position during the play. Ouch.

Fortunately for fans, the Indiana Pacers did not leave them in the dark about Tyrese and his injury. After having him in the back to assess the situation and damage; they then provide a brief, simple announcement. The basketball franchise states,
“Injury Update: Tyrese Haliburton (left hamstring strain) will not return to tonight’s game.”
Therefore, if Haliburton is looking at a hamstring injury; what could the recovery time look like for him? Dr. Evan Jeffries, an injury analyst on Fox Sports Radio, kindly provides some intel on possible timeframes. Jeffries reveals,
“Tyrese Haliburton injured his Left Hamstring on this play. MRI will determine severity and time of healing
Grade I: 1-2 weeks
Grade II: 4-8 weeks
Grade II: 12+ weeks/surgery if torn off bone.”
Injuries in sports happen, but it’s never easy to see a guy go down. Hopefully Tyrese Haliburton heals fast. Wishing Tyrese nothing but the best.
