2025 WNBA Standings Update Through Memorial Day
It’s been a wild start. From blowouts to close games that have playoff vibes; and matchups that gave way to new league records. The ladies came to play and this season is going to be intense. Nevertheless, after several days of war on the courts, where now does everyone stand? We will catch you up… here is a quick overview, our 2025 WNBA Standings update through Memorial Day.
While teams always want to win as many games as possible. Going undefeated is the real challenge. So far in the history of basketball, there has never been any WNBA or NBA team to go undefeated.
In women’s basketball, a few franchises had great starts to the season. Like the Minnesota Lynx for example, who hold the record for most wins to start a season with 13-0 in 2016. While over in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls are the only organizations to come close to “perfection.” The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors achieved an NBA record for most regular season wins with a 73-9 record. Which broke Chicago’s (1995-1996) previous record of 72-10.
Nevertheless, the above just demonstrates how hard it is to win all the games. It is almost impossible. So then, who in the women’s league still has a chance at glory; and has not lost a single game? There are two undefeated teams left. The defending champions, the New York Liberty; as well as the Minnesota Lynx.
On the flip side, there are a few teams still looking for their first win of the season. Three teams hope to finally add a notch in the win column at long last. The Dallas Wings, Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun.

A few other things of note, are that six teams currently have a winning record. And the Lynx and Liberty are leading their respective conferences. Minnesota sits on top of the Western Conference (4-0), while New York (3-0) is reigning over the Eastern Conference.
Moreover, the newest expansion team in the league is making waves. Selling out Chase Center and having heavily sought after merch. The Golden State Valkyries have sold merchandise in all 50 states and in over 70 countries. And have garnered a 2-1 record. Nice!
Furthermore, two teams just below .500, the Los Angeles Sparks and Washington Mystics; hope to even things out this week. Or even get on the winning side of things. LA gets back Cameron Brink after her long recovery from injury; to help in their endeavors as well.
Lastly, two very great teams have 2-2 records. The Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces. Both franchises have been playing lights out and have the talent to have great seasons. However, Fever’s Caitlin Clark will miss a few games due to a quad strain injury. However, the season is very young and there’s plenty of time for every team to get on a roll. Who do you think will win it all?
