2025 NHL Draft—All Selections From the First Round!
Happy draft day to all who celebrate. It is a day where the lives of young athletes are changed forever; and new stars are born. This year, the 2025 NHL draft takes place at the Peacock Center in Los Angeles, California. There will be 224 picks in the NHL Draft, spread across seven rounds. Each of the 32 NHL teams will have the opportunity to make selections throughout the draft.
The New York Islanders had the number one pick this year; which then begs the question… who would go first overall? If you have come across any mock drafts as of late the answer for the most part seemed to be one name. Matthew Schaefer.
Nevertheless, there are several top guys that teams have been and will be eyeing. Some prospects that seemed likely to go early include:
- Matthew Schaefer
- Michael Misa
- James Hagens
- Anton Frondell
- Caleb Desnoyers
- Porter Martone
- Brady Martin
- Jake O’Brien
- Roger McQueen
- Radim Mrtka
But what really happened? In case you missed it here’s what went down. All the picks from round one.
