He became the first player in MLB history to hit a homer in six consecutive World Series games including one in the first four games of this Fall Classic.

Nevertheless, the Yankees would not just go quietly into the night. New York showed some passion and fight! Beginning in the second inning, Anthony Volpe walks then steals to second base. Austin Wells doubles, moving Volpe to third. Alex Verdugo grounds out, but this play still allows the Yankees to score. It’s 2-1, Dodgers.

In the third inning, Aaron Judge gets hit by a pitch, Jazz Chisholm singles, and Giancarlo Stanton walks. The bases are loaded. Anthony Volpe then hits a grand slam! The Yankees move ahead 5-2.

LA doesn’t give up. In the fifth they score two runs. Thanks to a Will Smith home run and a Freddie Freeman force out that still allows Tommy Edman to get home. Scoreboard reads 5-4.

In the sixth, New York adds on. Austin Wells hits a fly ball to right field. Yankees have a bit of assurance, it is 6-4. However, a small assurance would become a BIG one. In the seventh, Anthony Volpe hits a double, then is knocked in by Alex Verdugo. But there, are still two Yankees on base. Gleyber Torres homers on a fly ball to right center field. New York is up 10-4.

Yet, the scoring is not over. Juan Soto comes to the plate and hits a double. Aaron Judge is next. He’s calm, he’s ready. Judge singles on a sharp line drive to left field. Soto scores. New York is winning 11-4. And that’s how things would stay. Yankees avoid the sweep and keep their hopes alive.
