2024 MLB Draft: All 20 Rounds and 615 Picks!
What another great year of selections! The 2024 MLB Draft is not only exciting; but also gives fans an opportunity to see the “stars of tomorrow” begin their professional journey. Nevertheless, the first question every season is who was the number one pick?
The Cleveland Guardians were the first on the clock. And they did not disappoint. Grabbing up Oregon State infielder Travis Bazzana. A left-handed-hitting second baseman who for the past three seasons led Oregon State to a 134-54 record.
Moreover, Cleveland has already said that they’ve agreed to terms with Bazzana. Whose slot value at No. 1 was $10.57 million, but they still need to make sure he completes his physical before anything is officially announced.
Furthermore, some other interesting details of this 2024 draft include the kids of former MLB players. For instance, the Boston Red Sox drafted David Ortiz’s son, third baseman D’Angelo Ortiz (19th round); and the Angels select Manny Ramirez’s son, Lucas, in the 17th round.
